Polyacrylate de sodium

Le polyacrylate de sodium aussi appelé polymère de Slush avec la formule chimique[−CH2−CH(CO2Na)−] n.  Il a la capacité d'absorber et de retenir le liquide en grandes quantités par rapport à sa propre masse.

C'est un matériel blanc de solution granulaire ou de poudre qui peut absorber le liquide cent fois son poids et quand il fait, il verrouille l'eau fermement.
